A heavily rusted drain cover with small round holes, evenly spaced. Flaking away and disintegrating.
Curator's Notes
- found in a drain, so probably a drain cover - incredibly rusty - example of material breakdown in the city and the need for constant surveillance to make sure materials don't deteriote to the point of causing harm - in the case of a rusty drain cover this could lead to its eventual total deterioration and matrial entering the drain that might cause blockages/flooding - rust= oxidation of metal - some description of rust- chemical process?
